     Chiawana Park, Franklin County, WA

Hall Engineering Associates has provided engineering and coordinating services for three projects at Chiawana Park, including a boat ramp, comfort station, and boat dock.  HEA coordinated permitting with State and Federal agencies, including the Corps of Engineers and the Yakima Indian Nation for all the projects.  HEA with its subcontractor, Battelle, provided an archaeological survey of the entire park to guide project planning and  preserve cultural resources. 

The boat ramp project included permitting, design, bidding assistance, and construction inspection of the boat ramp and parking lot construction and coordination of several weeks of volunteer construction effort in dredging out what had been an old gravel pit to allow boating activities.

The comfort station and boat dock project included permitting, design, and construction inspection for an in-river boat dock and the associated piling, and a new comfort station and sewerage disposal system.
